SWVMHI currently has nine staff psychiatrists, two medical physicians, three psychiatric nurse practitioners, four nurse practitioners, and one position that is filled with hourly nurse practitioners who rotate coverage on nights and weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Jeffrey Gordon became Medical Director\/Chief Medical Officer in June 2018 after serving on the Admissions and Extended Rehab Units. Dr.\u00a0Gordon\u00a0received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (Previously MCV), Richmond VA, in 1997, and is boarded in both General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.\u00a0He started his career at SWVMHI in July, 2006, as Attending Psychiatrist on Ward D. He served as Attending Psychiatrist on ERS from March, 2015, until February, 2018, at which time he moved back to Ward D as Attending Psychiatrist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
