Any person admitted to Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute shall be accorded treatment and care without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, or physical handicap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Criteria for Admission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If an adult arrives at this facility requesting admission, the Admissions Office staff will call the Unit Programs Director, Unit Nurse Coordinator or designee, who will assess the individual, then call the Community Services Board to facilitate a mental health evaluation\/screening.
