Treatment Through Multidisciplinary Teams
The Center provides treatment through multidisciplinary teams of child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, nurses, social workers, activities therapists, teachers and behaviorally trained direct care staff. Individual treatment plans are developed for each child. The treatment programs currently operating at the Center are:
- Units 1 & 2 : Child & Pre-Adol. Programs (age up to 14 yrs.)
- Units 3 & 4: Adolescent Programs (ages 13-17 yrs.)
The programs provide for a full range of individual, group, family, milieu, and medication modalities for stabilization and resumption of effective functioning.
A child must have written permission from the parent or legal guardian to be enrolled in the education program; it is acceptable through email. For more information, please call 540-332-2131.
Each child is offered a full day of educational services, which includes classes comparable to the student’s schedule at his/her home school. Students who are eligible for special education are also provided with services as outlined in their Individualized Education Program. Education services and the class room experience is provided on-site by teachers who are certified in their assigned content area, with many teachers holding endorsements in multiple areas. Educational staff are employees of Staunton City Schools with program oversight by the Virginia Department of Education as a State Operated Program. A transfer summary including class attendance and grades is provided to both the parent/guardian and the home school division.
CCCA participates in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) federally assisted meal programs for National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program and Afterschool Snack Program. The programs are administered through the Virginia Department of Education. Any comments or concerns regarding your child’s participation in the program, please contact the CCCA Assistant Director, Administration.
