Thank you for taking a moment to browse Southeastern Virginia Training Center’s (SEVTC) website. We hope that you will find information that interests and inspires you.

SEVTC is an Intermediate Care Facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services serving citizens with intellectual (ID) and developmental (DD) disabilities. SEVTC has the capacity to support 75 individuals in 15 “state of the art” homes with accommodations unique to their specific needs. Our neighborhood of homes is commonly referred to as “Steppingstones at Greenbrier.”  During their stay at SEVTC, individuals enjoy an array of person-centered opportunities and services that support community living, foster independence, and ensure a life that is fully realized to his/her potential.

SEVTC support partners are committed to providing quality care, medication stabilization, program development, provider training, and community integration services for individuals with challenging behavioral needs with the least restrictive approach possible.  We work collaboratively with other state and community partners (such as Community Service Boards, REACH Programs, Regional Support Teams, Crisis Management Teams, and Mental Health facilities) to ensure a timely and meaningful continuum of care for individuals with disabilities who reside within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We encourage you to take a virtual tour. It is our pleasure to provide an opportunity for you to learn more about SEVTC and related support services for individuals with special needs.

Kind Regards,
