VCBR maintains comprehensive rules addressing security and treatment concerns related to the management of resident property. Residents may possess personal items; however due to security and treatment concerns there are limitations on which items a resident may possess.

The Rules for Resident Personal Property provides information on how many packages a resident may receive, limitations on the size of packages a resident may receive, and limitations on specific items a resident may possess.

Prior to sending residents property items, members of a resident’s support system are encouraged to review the Rules for Resident Personal Property and to verify that residents are allowed to possess specific items.
