Departmental Objective

Physical and Occupational Therapy Programs at SWVMHI help to manage the physical and mental health needs of all individuals served.  Occupational therapy interventions include promoting ADLs and IADLs, social participation, supporting employment and education, and promoting health and wellness.  Physical therapy helps people live healthier, more active lives by providing rehabilitation services that meet their specific needs.   Both programs help individuals improve their health and develop effective daily routines to promote overall well-being and learn and utilize strategies to navigate life’s stressors.
