The Hiram W. Davis Audiology department provides high-quality care to help enhance our residents’ hearing. With an on-site clinic, audiological screenings and evaluations help to identify disorders of the auditory system. Aural rehabilitation may include evaluation, fitting, training, and follow-up care for custom-fitted digital hearing aids or assistive devices. Other audiological services include management of tinnitus and cerumen/ear wax, as well as a hearing conservation program. The audiologist is state licensed, nationally certified, and knowledgeable of the unique population served. The Hiram Davis Audiology department not only provides service to HWDMC, but also to Central State Hospital, Virginia Center for Behavioral Health, Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, and other surrounding providers in the DBHDS community.
