Crossroads

Crossroads Community Services Board (CSB) works to prevent and treat the occurrence of mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, as well as to enhance the functioning of individuals and families who experience these conditions.

One of 39 Virginia community services boards, Crossroads offers community resources for mental health, developmental disability services, substance use disorder counseling, drug prevention programs, family therapists, and more. The major efforts of Crossroads are directed toward transforming systems of care so that they are truly community based. Individuals participate in a service system based on the principles of recovery, and all programs and services use the recovery model in which peer support and participation are essential elements. In doing so, Crossroads seeks to advance regional mental health and improve community behavioral health through connecting individuals to Virginia mental health services.
