SWaM Certification and Vendor Diversity
The DBHDS supports working with small businesses and diverse vendors in our procurement opportunities. We encourage all businesses that qualify to obtain certification as a SWaM (Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned) vendor, in addition to other certification types.
There are no fees associated with SWaM certification, and it provides many advantages, including, but not limited to, access to the Commonwealth’s SWaM Set-Aside Program and lower eVA fees.
More information on SWaM can be found on the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) website.
Notice to DBHDS Vendors
We highly value vendors and appreciate the outstanding service they provide to the DBHDS. Our goal is to treat our vendors fairly and with respect.
DBHDS does not solicit or accept any donation, gift, grant, or contract without the written approval of the Governor. Exceptions must have written guidelines issued by the Governor which provide for the solicitation and acceptance of non-general funds.
Thank you for your understanding and support of this policy. For more information, please refer to the Commonwealth of Virginia Vendors Manual.
